This reindeer craft is fun for the whole family and super festive! It also has the added bonus of reusing products instead of just throwing them in the trash.
What you'll need:
- Farm to Aromatherapy reed diffuser bottle (Check out how to clean it on our Product Sustainability blog)
- Leftover reeds (allow them to completely dry or to get the fragrance out read our previous post here)
- Something red for the nose (We used a leftover heart from Valentine's Day.)
- Glue Gun
- Paint for the reindeer face and antlers
Creating the Reindeer Face
To create the reindeer face, make sure the surface of your reed diffuser bottle is clean and start painting. We went with a simplistic, sleepy reindeer, but you can create any type of reindeer you want. Next, we cut a red nose out of our leftover Valentine's Day heart and super glued that below the eyes. We kept it very simple, but you could add glitter or craft ears out of paper; use your imagination!
Creating the Antlers
For the antlers, you will need at least 5 full sized reeds. Two of the full sized reeds will be left intact for the base of the antlers and the rest will be cut up to create the tines. Creating the antlers may take some time, because the hot glue will need to dry to hold each tine on to the base. We decided to paint our antlers silver to make them a little bit more festive!
Place your antlers in the reed diffuser bottle and you have a reed diffuser reindeer!
